How do I get started?
Register your shop at app.tillbook.net/signup. That creates your account, your shop code and your 7 day free trial. Your dashboard then gives you the link to install the till app on any Android phone: enter the shop code and the phone is a till. Accounts are only created on the web, never in the app.
What do I get in the free trial?
The whole app for 7 days: sales, payments in every currency, inventory, staff logins, the dashboard and the books. Nothing is held back, and the sales you ring up during the trial stay in your shop afterwards.
What is TillBook?
A point-of-sale app for retail shops. It runs on a phone and handles sales, payments, inventory, staff and your books, with multi-currency support.
Do I have to register on the web first?
Yes, if you are the owner. Registering on the web creates the shop and makes you the owner. Salespeople never register: you add them in the app and they sign in with a login code and PIN.
Which payments and currencies does it support?
Cash, card on the terminal, and mobile money through EcoCash and InnBucks. Pricing and payment work in USD, ZiG and ZAR, with exchange rates resolved on the server.
Can more than one person use the same shop?
Yes. The owner shares a shop code, then adds salespeople with their own login codes and PINs. The owner sees every figure and each salesperson’s performance.
Does it work if my connection drops mid-sale?
Checkout is idempotent. If a payment request is retried after a dropped connection, the backend dedupes it, so a sale is recorded exactly once.
Where is my data and who can see it?
Your records sync to TillBook’s backend over HTTPS and are isolated to your shop with database-level row security. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
How much does it cost?
TillBook is $10 per month, per shop. Every new shop starts on a 7 day free trial, so registering and setting up costs nothing and you only start paying once you have had a week to try it. If you run more than one shop, each one is its own $10 a month.
